COVID-19 Safety Policies

As Texas begins to open up, we are carefully resuming our services. Governor Abbott plans to open Texas businesses in stages starting with a limited capacity of 25% occupancy.

New policies and safety procedures:
  • Thorough and frequent sanitation of controllers and surfaces.
  • VR will be unavailable until we can be sure it's safe to use.
  • No more than 20 players in the Bus at a time.
  • No more than 20 players in the Venue at a time.
  • We strongly urge players to keep their distance at all times.

The City of Longview and Gregg County have issued mandatory orders for residents to Shelter-in-Place for the next two weeks, beginning Thursday, March 26 at 11:59 p.m., and lasting through Thursday, April 9 at 11:59 p.m., due to the threat of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The mandatory directives come in the form of disaster declaration orders from the City. To comply with the order, Gamesters' Paraidse will be temporarily supending services.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Thursday issued a wide-ranging executive order to help limit the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) across the state. The provisions of the order, which include closing restaurants, bars, gyms, and schools, apply to all Texas residents.
The order becomes effective on midnight Friday, March 20, and lasts until midnight Friday, April 3.
The order includes:
  • Limiting of all social gatherings to fewer than 10 people
  • Banning visitation to nursing homes and retirement centers unless a person is providing "critical assistance"
  • Closing dine-in service at restaurants and bars, but allowing pick up or delivery service
  • Closing all schools
  • Closing gyms

The executive order may be extended beyond April 3, if necessary.

We will abide by Governor Abbott's executive order while maintaining our events. As mandated, we must restrict all parties to a max of 10 people in any of our locations at a time. We can rotate participants if more than 10 would like to attend, but cannot make exceptions to having 10 people at a time in our buses or GP HUB. In between rotations, our employees will sanitize all equipment and surfaces. While we understand that this may be inconvenient, we must be good citizens and not allow our operations to impede the global efforts to combat COVID-19.
Good morning, Valued Customers,

At this point, we are not cancelling any parties. However, we feel that it is imperative to abide by the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control, the World Health Organization, Governor Abbott, Judge Stoudt, and Mayor Mack. Whether your parties are scheduled on one of our buses or at GP HUB, we ask that you follow these guidelines:

  • Please have all guests wash their hands thoroughly prior to touching any controllers. We have provided an informational video on our Facbook Page as a good reminder of how we all should really be washing our hands.

  • Please have guests maintain a safe distance of 6 feet from one another as much as possible. This may require taking shifts to play on the buses if you have more than 10 players. Our employees can help by setting timers for your group, if you'd like. At GP HUB, there is plenty of space for everyone to spread out between 22 TVs/gaming stations.
    * We have been asked to max people at any gathering to 10. Because your bus parties allow for your guests to be on and off the bus, you can have more than 10 people attend your party. We just cannot allow more than 10 people on our buses at a time. As for the HUB, it is a larger facility, but we ask that no more than 10 people are in any of the rooms at one time. We have multiple rooms in our facility: the lobby, party room, game room, and 2 VIP rooms. The VIP rooms are smaller and will not accommodate 10 at a time under the CDC guidelines, but the other rooms will.

  • Have players ask our employees to disinfect controllers when a player changes from one station to another. They will do this as they see players change stations, but if they do not see someone change a station, have that player tell an employee they are changing stations. We can also provide vinyl gloves, if requested. They may be a little big for smaller players, though.

  • We highly recommend to refrain from blowing out a candle on a cake. If the candle is in a single cupcake that the birthday person will eat him/herself, that should be fine, but remember that COVID-19 is a disease that is transmitted through respiratory droplets. Use your best discretion. We feel it is wise to forego the whole candle-blowing tradition altogether.

  • If anyone on your guest list has ANY symptoms of being sick, regardless of whether they are related to COVID-19, flu, stomach bug, or any other illness, HAVE THEM REFRAIN FROM ATTENDING THE PARTY. Period. If they have been around anyone in the past 2 weeks who has had those symptoms, ask them to refrain from attending the party. They may be a carrier of the disease.

  • Please ask that anyone falling in the following categories not attend (for their own safety):
    • Age 65 or older
    • Immunocompromised
    • Have traveled in the last 2 weeks (domestically or internationally)

We understand that these guidelines may put a damper on a "normal" party, but the world is not living under normal circumstances right now. We want to help you celebrate your special day, but we MUST comply with these guidelines in order to keep your special event from becoming one that people remember for all of the wrong reasons. We ask that you comply with us fully in this regard. We understand if you feel you need to cancel your event in light of the COVID-19 situation and will fully refund your deposit if you choose to do so. You can also reschedule your event for a later date and have your deposit transferred to the new date. We do feel, though, that there is opportunity to still have a good time celebrating your special day, as long as you understand that it has to be done differently than you may have planned.

Thank you for understanding!
